First Mexico-made cable certified for 230 kV with XLP insulation. Since 1991 more than 300 km of 230 kV cables with solid insulation have been installed.

The high and extra-high tension cables designed in CIDEC meet the highest performance standards set by national and international norms.
We developed the first line of halogen-free (Zer0HM.R) cables for construction in Mexico. Because of their halogen-free and fire-retardant composition, these cables are used in high security installations and are considered friendly for the environment. These cables also meet the RoHS directive, which restricts the use of dangerous substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.
LED Illuminated Mining Cables
We have developed LED mining cables to help improve operations in the mining industry.
What’s a LED mining cable?
It’s a highly resistant cable with a transparent cover and a LED strip on the inside. This allows the cables to be seen in the dark, preventing accidents and making the mining operation safer and more productive.
